God’s will be done
The sacrifice on the cross.
In the latter chapters of Matthew, Jesus foretells of His death. The death of Jesus was set for all our sins to be forgiven. He gives us new life. He makes us free.
Jesus says:
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” - John 8:36
Where in your life have you struggled with accepting God’s will for your life? Think about how Jesus felt knowing He was soon to die. He did not want to go through with it. But, He obeyed His Father.
I’ve had a hard time accepting God’s will for my life. Not getting things on my own time. But, the beautiful part of it all is my relationship with Christ. I’ve grown to know Him more.
He has set me aside and took me away from all things familiar. I’ve gained more focus and time with God.
This had to happen for a reason.
I’ve been wandering around for a long time. I have yet to find a place to truly call home. But, I know where my home is.
My home has always been with God. He’s been with me always. His will is being done as long as I stand in His perfect will.
“And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” - Matthew 26:39
