Good Things
God created all good things. Light, land and our food.
“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” - Genesis 1:3
When God speaks, it shall come to pass.
“And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.” - Genesis 1:4
God saw the light which He created and performed it. He separated it from darkness. The same darkness which so easily distracts and disturbs us. When I think of light, I think of Jesus.
Jesus has come into my life with a covering. He has been my protector. He has made a way for me to get out of the pit.
So, why should we acknowledge light? Because it’s the best thing for us. Our light is our guide.
Next, the land which we are all standing on. The dry land. The dry land that He made to appear on the third day. The same land that He brought out for the Israelite’s safety.
I am grateful to be on earth. To experience all things that life consists of. To be apart of the good things around the world. Here, I can experience true life on Earth with Jesus. Now I know the way to live, and the right things to do.
God brought forth the herb yielding seed and the fruit trees. Each has seeds for us. Each food gives us strength for the day. And it’s free.

In Conclusion:
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” - Genesis 1:31
The Light:
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” - Psalm 119:105
The Land:
“And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.” - Genesis 1:9,10
God says:
“Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame (am fashioning a disaster) evil against you, and devise a device (plan) against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.” - Jeremiah 18:11

This was such a beautiful reflection on creation and God’s goodness. It’s a powerful reminder that the same God who spoke light into existence is the One who brings light into our lives and leads us out of darkness. I also appreciated how you highlighted the simple gifts we often overlook, the land we stand on and the food we’re given each day. It made me pause and feel a deeper sense of gratitude for things I can easily take for granted. Thank you for sharing this and reminding us to notice His goodness all around us.

It’s good to see a Post from you. I was wondering where you went. How have you been? I pray all is well.
And yes, it’s truly amazing how God spoke all living things into being! He has provided us with all things to nourish us and care for the bodies He has blessed us with. We often take these things for granted. But it’s truly a gift that we should always be thankful for.
As for fruits, I would say strawberries and pineapples! They are delicious 😋
